Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Barbara, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced IT infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading enterprise technology initiatives, and partnering with business leaders to build secure, scalable, and reliable systems.

The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor across infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, and systems administration. Key Responsibilities

- Analyze current IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and workflows to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, cloud implementations, and technology modernization projects.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, technical escalation support, and root-cause analysis for complex infrastructure and network issues.
- Develop IT policies, procedures, documentation, security best practices, and executive-level recommendations.
- Support cybersecurity assessments, vendor management, compliance efforts, and mentoring of internal IT team members.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000 per year.
- Employment type: Direct hire.
- Location: Santa Barbara, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead enterprise infrastructure, network, cloud, and systems administration initiatives.
- Manage system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and cloud implementation projects.
- Provide senior-level troubleshooting, technical escalation, and IT consulting support.
- Develop scalable, secure technology solutions that reduce downtime and improve operational performance.

- 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including infrastructure, networking, and systems administration.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar environments.
- Experience with virtualization, enterprise systems, cybersecurity frameworks, firewalls, and endpoint security.
- Ability to assess infrastructure needs, recommend improvements, and implement secure, cost-effective solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to work with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party service providers.

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, AWS, or similar.
- Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise environments.
- Strategic IT planning, budgeting, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning experience.
- Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity risk management, compliance, and infrastructure security best practices.
