I adore driving around the Town of Telluride and the Mountain Village to see what homes are being built. Several projects start as soon as the ground is thawed enough for the crews to really get at it and while driving get the extra bonus of seeing the white capped mountain tops and green grasses as far as the eye can see. Most of the new homes in Telluride and Mountain Village are being built for the Owners’ personal use. I am stunned by some of the more recent homes-just spectacular and the architecture is so attractive. The featured home above is located on Hood Park in Mountain Village and was built by Gerber Construction. Being that the home is located up a substantial driveway it was hard for me to get great photo that would do it justice without trespassing. The driveway is a bit of an engineering feat and could be almost considered a bridge of which the lengthly sides of it are made of very beautiful stone which looks to be the same stone nearly the whole home is made out of. To describe the stone, it is light in color and refined and stacked stone style in a creamy light grey.If I may say, it is so beautiful to me, it brought tears to my eyes. It has spectacularly large windows and doors on both sides, several very large decks and backs up to a beautiful large open space meadow. It is modern but timeless and enduring like a perfect piece of art.
